Andrew joined Colorado Open Lands in February 2016 as a Stewardship Fellow. Prior to coming on board, Andrew worked in various contexts of the conservation field including a summer stewardship position with Wood River Land Trust in Central Idaho and a wilderness ranger internship with the Selway-Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation in Montana. Before he found his passion for non-profit land conservation, Andrew also spent time at the EPA and has worked as a bike mechanic and outdoor trip leader. Andrew grew up in Northern Indiana and holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from Indiana University with a focus on Natural Resource Management and Environmental Policy. For the past three summers Andrew has worked out West and is excited to now call Colorado home. In his free time, Andrew enjoys hiking, tennis, mountain biking, and exploring the backcountry for new fly fishing spots. He is looking forward to the outdoor opportunities Colorado affords and is excited to help contribute towards the preservation of Colorado open spaces.
