Jordan’s work helps Colorado Open Lands (COL) lead and support the evolution of the land conservation industry in Colorado and beyond. As Director of Programs, Jordan develops and manages innovative partnerships, projects and programs that improve private land conservation in Colorado and the West, including the COL Fellowship program, the COL Conservation Loan program, COL’s government relations program and the Conserved Colorado marketing program. Jordan also coordinates the activities of the Colorado Conservation Partnership, a collaboration between Colorado Open Lands, the Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy, the Trust for Public Land and The Conservation Fund that, together with local partners, has leveraged more than $250 million in public and private funding to help landowners conserve over 800,000 acres across the state. Finally, Jordan assists in developing and leading COL’s strategic collaborations, including COL’s mergers with the Colorado Conservation Trust (CCT) in 2013 and Legacy Land Trust in 2016. Prior to COL, Jordan worked as Program Director for CCT, Conservation Director for the Green River Valley Land Trust in Wyoming (now part of the Jackson Hole Land Trust), and an attorney in Montana helping clients with tax planning, estate planning and commercial transactions. When not working, Jordan enjoys volunteering, skiing, fishing and hunting.
