Michael Dowling’s natural resource career has included work as an entrepreneur, executive, investment manager, conservationist, regulator, consultant, and philanthropist. Michael has chaired the national Land Trust Alliance, the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission, Colorado Conservation Trust, and the Colorado Wildlife Federation; served on the boards of Scenic Hudson, Colorado Public Radio, and the Colorado Symphony; and was the 2010 recipient of Colorado Open Lands’ George E. Cranmer Award. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dowling was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. Michael has undergraduate and professional degrees in science, policy, and management from Yale University. He is a former arborist and river guide and is inspired in his conservation work by sharing his love of nature and the outdoors with his eleven-year-old daughter, Theresa.
