Artist Erika Donaghy’s statement:
About two years ago, I took a two-hour watercolor workshop in Denver with some friends. I didn’t make anything groundbreaking that day, but it sparked something in me I had forgotten about. Soon, I was painting at every opportunity – in the car, on the trail, in the morning before work. Then in 2019, my husband was offered a new job in Summit County so we moved out of Denver where we had been for 12 years and, finally, landed in the mountains. When we go here, I found the most wonderful, welcoming art community and jumped headfirst into learning ceramics (and I’m quite obsessed). That summer, I took a huge leap of faith and quit my full time job to start this creative business. It’s still terrifying sometimes, but I’ve never felt more like myself. These days you can find me painting something new, teaching a watercolor workshop, or covered in clay at the ceramics studio.
