Max joined Colorado Open Lands as a Stewardship Intern and is now excited to work in the San Luis Valley as the Grain for Cranes Fellow. Max graduated from Colorado College in 2014 with Bas in mathematics and ecology. Before coming to COL he worked in the field on ecological research projects, focusing on species of threatened or endangered birds and their habitats. This work has taken him from the deserts of California to the rainforests of Argentina—but he has always called Colorado home. Whether fly-fishing in our many rivers or chasing birds through ponderosa pine forests Max loves all of Colorado’s unique landscapes, and he is excited to continue working in this beautiful state.
