Although originally from South Africa, Yvonne spent many years of her childhood in Colorado and found a deep love for the state during that time. She returned to Colorado to pursue college and holds a B.S. in Fish, Wildlife and Conservation Biology and a M.S. in Conservation Leadership from Colorado State University. After more than five years of environmental education experiences in South Africa, Wisconsin and Colorado, Yvonne joined Colorado Open Lands in March 2022. She is an avid believer that collaborating with communities through outreach and education is a critical component of effective natural and cultural resource conservation. When not exploring the outdoors, you can find Yvonne baking, reading, or attending a Zumba or pottery class!
