Shawn Andrick Memorial Preserve

This public open space was protected in partnership with the Central Colorado Conservancy and Lake County. The property is a narrow canyon along the Arkansas River between Buena Vista and Leadville with wetlands, a gold-medal trout fishery, and great habitat for elk and bighorn sheep. The Top of the Rockies / Collegiate Peaks Scenic Byway winds through the canyon with open views of this property.
