Waggener Farm

Waggener Farm is located between I-25 and the Town of Berthoud, a fast-growing area with high development pressure. Now protected under easement, this productive farm will forever contribute to the scenic gateway into Berthoud, preserving the viewshed to Long’s Peak and Twin Sisters. Waggener Farm is a fifth generation farm with prime soils that produce corn, alfalfa, barley, and grass mixes. The farm is currently being leased by Root Shoot Malting, one of Colorado’s premier craft malt producers. This conservation project represents the first of three phases that will ultimately protect 483 acres of the farm.
