Welcome to Colorado open lands

Thanks for joining us!

You’re here because you believe that Colorado’s outstanding quality of life comes from our land and water.

Coloradans like you can play a critical role in protecting our state so future generations can enjoy the same Colorado we do today!

When you protect our land and water, you also help protect Colorado’s wildlife, scenic views, and cultural heritage.

You can help protect our Thriving Wildlife & Scenic Views

Colorado hosts a stunning variety of native animals and plants. Conserving land is the only way to ensure animals like pronghorn, elk, deer, and bears, who need intact migration routes, can thrive.  Land conservation also ensures that vulnerable species like the Gunnison Sage-grouse, found only in Colorado and Utah, are able to survive.

Colorado also offers some of the most breathtaking views in the country.  Conserving our land protects the iconic viewscapes that we all cherish – wide open views that might otherwise turn into highways, houses, or strip malls. We expect millions more people to move to our state by 2050, making land conservation more important – and more urgent – than ever before.
