Cheyenne Johnson
Philanthropy Officer
Cheyenne Johnson is the Philanthropy Officer for Colorado Open Lands with almost 20 years of experience in conservation philanthropy. Originally from Austin, Texas, she has centered her professional career on her passion for land and water conservation and historic preservation. Prior to joining Colorado Open Lands, she was the Philanthropy Director for History Colorado, dedicated to creating a better future by inspiring wonder in our past—which was rooted in her love for Colorado’s diverse landscape. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography, specializing in Natural Resource Management from the University of Texas at Austin. She has held Director of Development positions at Hill Country Conservancy in Austin and the Cibolo Nature Center & Farm in Boerne, Texas. She loves all Colorado outdoor mountain activities, especially with her partner, Chad, and her bernedoodle, Ernie.
